The open back design of the toilet pan on this close coupled WC allows more room for waste pipework, for example if you have a waste pipe that comes out to the left or right hand side horizontally, in quite a few UK homes this is something that you may have to work around without reconfiguring your bathroom plumbing which can be a bigger job and not ideal for those on a budget or wanting to renovate a bathroom quickly.
