Wall hung toilets are the new 'must have' option for your new bathroom and hanging them on one of Geberit's Duofix frames is compulsory. Featuring chrome flush plates, insulated cisterns, easy service access and one piece mouldings they will create a sense of grandeur in your bathroom
Geberit are the leading toilet frame manufacturer, they also produce the World class Aquaclean shower bidet toilets featuring heated seats and pulsating cleaning jets operated by remote controls. This Swiss company operates globally and they are market leaders in sanitary technology. With over 140 years of history Geberit have been at the forefront of product innovation, reliability and sustainability and they outperform their competitors in research and development.
The quality of products you cannot see or are not easy to access needs to be of the highest level. Waste fittings, cistern inner parts, and most of the technology that controls the water in bathrooms is designed and produced by Geberit, but used by other leading brand names. Villeroy & Boch cisterns are manufactured by Geberit. Geberit have taken the lead providing manufacturers with the technology to further develop ceramics and bathroom design. Providing new technology within the ceramic cistern, developing concealed cisterns which are used to hide the working parts in walls or furniture making the bathroom design neater visually and easier to maintain.
Geberit also specialize in waste technology, providing innovative shower waste solutions for the simple shower tray and more complex wet room scenarios. Geberit pioneered development of the now more commonly used bath pop up waste systems and then further developed the technology to use the bath overflow to fill the bath, therefore negating the use of bath taps or spouts all together.
Products are designed with the installer in mind, so not only fit into installations but are also designed to be easily fitted. Fixing bolts and standard waste connections are supplied with the products and as many Geberit products are installed during the 1st fix stage cover caps to avoid dust and debris working their way into the products are also often supplied.
Over recent years Geberit have introduced a number of new products which have helped with a mini revelation in the way we understand and use our bathrooms. Geberit were one of the first to introduce shower toilets into Europe. The Aquaclean wc range has helped to bridge the gap between the, now under used, bidet and the toilet. Other complimentary products such as the monolith provide stylish designs and ease of installation for concealed cisterns

The AquaClean is the ideal solution if you want to ensure optimum cleanliness in your bathroom. Not only does it save money but you also help the environment by buying less toilet paper. Depending on what model you choose, there are even more options including programmable user profiles, remote control toilet flush and additional nozzle cleaning.
Providing a complete range of concealed cisterns for any installation Geberit cisterns are available for installation into furniture at low height for both floor mounted and wall mounted toilets. Options are available with small single or more commonly dual flush pneumatic push buttons. A standard button is supplied with the cistern, however when a more unique option is required Geberit provide numerous buttons in a variety of designs and colours to suit every installation. Cisterns with push buttons must have access for maintenance.
Very little can go wrong with the cistern, but small debris or particles can wear the flush and inlet washers. These are easily replaced and Geberit will keep spares but it is important to have an access panel so the finish or the furniture is not disturbed as this is not so easy to replace after a number of years. To avoid such access issues manufacturers have developed the push plate for cisterns. Available from Geberit in single flush, but again more common with dual flush plates, the access for all maintenance required for the cistern is through the push plate. The plate is fitted at the end of the installation and can be easily removed if required and then replaced once any maintenance is complete. The plates can be positioned as top access or front access depending on the installation. There are many different shapes and finishes for the push plates. Most are made from good quality plastics with the applicable finish, although brass plates with a metallic finish or glass front can also be supplied.
Bespoke plates are available to compliment the finish of the bathroom if required. Great care must be taken when choosing the push plate are Geberit plates are only compatible with the appropriate cistern. Geberit have made things slightly easier recently and now have three different cisterns in the range. The Kappa, the Sigma and the Omega cisterns. Push plates must therefore be chosen from the Kappa range for the Kappa cistern, the Sigma range for the Sigma cistern and the Omega range for the Omega cistern. Geberit have developed the different cisterns over the years for different installations. All the cisterns operate on a standard 6 litre and 3 litre flush. The Kappa cistern is generally used for lower height installations, such as under windows or in certain furniture. The cistern body is shorter and wider so that the water and flush capacity is maintained in the lower height. The Sigma cistern is taller and thinner. This allows for a higher installation which can sometimes be an advantage. For instance when the toilet seat is raised it can cover the push plate, or clash with it. The seat needs to be lowered to use the flush.
The Sigma cistern, which has an installation height of 1080mm for floor mounted toilets and 1120mm for wall mounted toilets overcomes this small issue. It also has the advantage of being slightly narrower. Within the sigma range there is also an 8mm deep frame for installation into walls and thinner spaces or where space is at a premium. Care must be taken with this product as the soil waste must go straight down into the floor or out through the wall; in general there will not be enough room to take the waste out of the side. Geberit have certain more specialist frames in the range. One for a disabled room with a wall hung installation. The frame will provide extra support where the w.c projects over 60cm. It will also provide greater flexibility for height adjustment. The other specialist cistern is for corner installations of wall hung toilets. This is used more for a design feature by specialist interiors designers or bathroom designers, or when space is a premium.
The Omega range is a relatively new range from Geberit. It combines many of the features of the Kappa and Sigma ranges and has a full range of neater push plates to offer. Installation heights of 82cm, 98cm and 112cm are available and conduits for cables and feeds needed for shower toilets and odour extraction features future proof the Omega range. The Omega range is considered more specialist by Geberit and is therefore only available to specialist suppliers such as Premium Plumbing where full training for the product has been given and kept up to date. This does not necessarily make the product any more difficult to install or more complex but means that the best advice is given to the end user to ensure the correct cistern is used for the correct situation. For wall hung installations the relevant cistern is essentially wrapped by the Geberit duofix frame. The frame provides the structural stability for wall mounting the wc wall hung pan and is tested to a loading bearing of over 400kg. Wall fixings are provide with most cisterns which fix the frame to solid walls, dry wall and suitable timber walls. The installer must take care to provide a good fixing point for the frame. Bots are fixed to the frame to provide the fixing point for the wall hung pan. The fixing height is pre-set and there is some adjustment on the frame for differing floor levels. The installer must take care when setting the bolts heights to ensure the finished height of the pan will be correct at the second fix stage.
Finally with the Geberit cistern portfolio is the Geberit Monolith range. The monolith was introduced to provide a high end designer finish for back to the wall floor mounted toilets, wall mounted toilets, bidets, urinals and wash basins. It can also be used for the Geberit aquaclean shower toilet range. Monolith is very easy to install without the requirement for extra boxing a finishes to conceal the product. It is often used as a retro fit where small bathroom refurbishments are required without destroying the existing finishes. Sleek glass panels are used, available in 5 different colours, which cover the cistern and fixings and provide an ultra-high end designer finish. The depth of the units is 106cm and it is totally self-contained.
As previously mentioned Geberit provide many fittings for other manufacturers and their portfolio is extensive. They also provide a small range of wastes and traps direct to market in their retail portfolio. A modern looking bottle trap for wash basins is available. This is very competitively priced and you can rely on the quality being correct from Geberit. Turn control bath pop up wastes or push control bath wastes are available. They come in different sizes depending on the size and depth of the bath. The Geberit pop up bath waste would be our ‘go to’ choice of bath pop up waste for every installation. They are very competitively priced and with a product that can be difficult to access following the completion of the installation we rely on the Geberit quality not to let us down. Geberit also supply an overflow bath filler with turn control pop up waste, in both the standard and extended versions depending again on the size of your bath. The standard version for the bath wastes will be fine for baths with sizes of up to 1700x750mm so long as they are a standard depth. The extended bath wastes will be required for deeper baths and anything over that size.
