Duravit Technologies

Sanitary Ceramic

Duravit use base materials of clay, kaolin, quartz, and feldspar for their ceramics which are then pressure cast into molds. After that, they pierce holes for taps by hand. 

The glaze is then applied and this is made of quartz, gesso, feldspar, and the mineral rock dolomite. The interior of toilets and urinals are also glazed with HygieneGlaze and attain the highest standards of hygiene.

DuraCeram

DuraCeram is an innovative material that has been developed by Duravit, a leading manufacturer of sanitary ceramics. The material is made of predominantly the same raw materials as traditional sanitary ceramic (clay, kaolin, quartz and feldspar), but with a different formula. DuraCeram is poured into plaster or plastic molds (pressure casting process) and then processed by hand to create products such as sinks, toilets and bidets. The glaze is made of quartz, gesso, feldspar and the mineral rock dolomite, and applied by hand or by glazing robots, depending on the model. Thanks to its innovative composition, DuraCeram is more durable and has a higher resistance to scratching and chipping than traditional sanitary ceramic.

Sanitary Acrylic

This material is a lightweight, pore-free polymer that is colourfast and UV resistant. It also has a smooth surface that is pleasant to the touch. Duravit shower trays and bathtubs are made from this innovative material, which is then reinforced with wood and a glass fibre and synthetic resin mix. This combination makes for a robust and durable product that will withstand years of use. hidden acrylic panels are then affixed to the bathtub, depending on the model. This process results in a high-quality, innovative product that is both stylish and functional. DuraSolid Nature

DuraSolid® Nature consists of polyurethane combined with marble powder and a gelcoat surface. To manufacture shower trays from this material, Duravit commissioned a new production plant. As part of its production, Duravit makes the Sustano shower tray using a casting process developed in-house. This process enables precise forms with the lowest tolerances.

DuraSolid® Nature has a high degree of surface hardness and thickness, making it relatively resistant to damage and very easy to clean. Due to its special surface structure, products made of matte surface DuraSolid® Nature achieve maximum slip resistance (C rating), without requiring additional surface coating. Lightweight DuraSolid® Nature saves CO2 in transportation and makes products easy to handle on site. Durasolid Nature is an excellent example of how innovative materials can be used to create high-quality products that are both durable and sustainable.

HygieneGlaze

HygieneGlaze is effective in all areas particularly susceptible to the accumulation of bacteria, it also inhibits the growth of bacteria setting an unprecedented hygiene standard. After only 6 hours, 90% of the bacteria growth is inhibited and after 24 hours 99.9%.

Duravit Rimless

This technology allows a hygienic, open rim design at the same time as an innovative and efficient water flow. This dynamic water flow rinses the entire inner surface of the WC even with small amounts of water. The edge is easily accessible and therefore easier to clean.

Duravit Wondergliss

Wondergliss is an optional coating that is baked into the ceramic and which simply doesn’t give dirt and grime a chance! The coating results in a smoother and cleaner finish and dirt and limescale cannot secure a hold on the ceramic surface, residue runs off more easily.

Its slim remote makes it easy to use all functions. SensoWash Starck is available in two versions ‘Plus’ and ‘Lite’. Comfortably operated by remote control or via an innovative app these shower toilets exude minimalistic design and maximum comfort. The SensoWash Starck Plus version allows the lid to be configured to open as the user approaches and close as the user leaves. No need to touch the lid or the remote control.

Duravit is proud to offer a lifetime warranty on its ceramics. This warranty covers material defects, manufacturing defects, and construction defects. End customers can register their Duravit ceramics online within 3 months of purchase and receive a personal certificate. If a problem is discovered, the claim can also be made online. In addition, Duravit offers a 5-year warranty on selected products. This voluntary warranty covers sanitary ceramics, bathtubs and shower trays (excluding whirl tubs), toilet seats and covers (excluding shower toilets and shower toilet seats and covers), tap units, installation systems, bathroom furniture and accessories. Should any faults arise, Duravit will rectify at their expense by repairing the product or by providing a replacement.
