Elements Concept tray kits

When designing a shower enclosure, most people want a flush floor which allows for a seamless transition between the bathroom floor and shower cubicle. Abacus Concept shower tray kits allow you to completely tile the shower area to create a desirable walk-in shower cubicle which is both stylish, practical and sumptuously spacious. These versatile trays can also be supplied with either standard or linear drains, vastly increasing the type of floor coverings that can be used.

Designed specifically for the UK market, where bathroom floors are typically over boarded with plywood or element board and manufactured using advanced technology, Elements Concept kits are available in a number of different configurations. They provide the ultimate strength and durability for wet rooms and shower enclosures in all types of buildings, especially those with restricted access, such as apartment buildings and hotels.

Concept 1 kits are designed for customers who cannot, or do not wish, to fit the drain beneath the floor. That makes these concept kits ideal for rooms where longer pipe runs, up to 1.5m from the soil pipe, are required for drainage. Such buildings include apartment buildings and rooms that contain awkward joist locations which cannot easily be moved. The Concept 1 kit consists of a square shower tray, 900mm x 900mm, which can be extended with an optional 10mm extension kit. Concept 3 kits are designed for bathrooms where a small 50mm step is required between the shower enclosure and bathroom floor. However, this tray can also be recessed into the floor screed, providing there is enough clearance on the floor for this to be achieved. Concept 3 kits consist of a square shower tray, 900mm x 900mm, with a 10mm extension also available.

Concept 4 kits are designed for homes where access under the floor joists is limited, making it ideal for apartment buildings and hotels. Concept 4 kits consist of a rectangular shower tray, 750mm x 900mm, which can be fitted with a range of designer drain covers to create the ultimate personalised shower enclosure. Concept 6 kits are designed for homeowners that require a distinctive shower tray that is lifted above the bathroom floor. This kit can also be sunk into the screed to provide a flush fitting finish if required, although once again, you must ensure there is enough clearance on the floor for this to be achieved. Concept 6 kits consist of a rectangular shower tray 750mm x 900mm, with an optional 10mm extension board available to create a larger enclosure.

Corner, centre, end and linear tray kits

For smaller or odd shaped bathrooms where it may be difficult to fit a large sumptuous enclosure, a range of Abacus elements trays is available which provide the option of being fitted in the corner or centre of the wall. These trays can be supplied with either standard or linear drains, giving you the flexibility to create the ultimate luxury shower enclosure, no matter what shape or size your bathroom is. Square waste trays are ideal for smaller bathrooms where space is at a premium. They can also be used to add a contemporary shower feature to other rooms such as bedrooms and cloakrooms without taking up much space. Square waste trays can be supplied in a range of sizes from 900mm x 900mm to 1200mm x 1200mm and can be fitted with both standard or linear drains to suit your bathroom design and shower specification. By providing a larger aperture, linear drains allow wastewater from the shower to drain away quickly, removing the need for a lip on the edge of the shower tray. This gives you complete flexibility in your bathroom design, allowing you to create the ultimate minimalist bathroom without unsightly drains spoiling the line.

Linear waste trays should be fitted if you are thinking about installing an ultra-power shower or multi-headed pulsating shower, both of which use large volumes of water. However, the main reason people choose a linear tray is that they allow bathroom designers to create a truly seamless look and feel by using larger floor tiles which merge with the bathroom floor, without the visual detraction of a centre drain.

Linear waste trays can be supplied in three standard sizes from 900mm x 900mm to 1500mm x 1500mm and come with a 40mm floor height allowing them to fitted with a step or sunk into the screed to create a level floor.

Infinity single fall trays

Infinity single fall tray kits are similar to linear tray kits, but they use a single slot infinity fall drain located on the trailing edge which can be tiled in the same material as the bathroom floor, allowing you to create a virtually invisible drain, complementing the minimalist look.

Infinity single fall tray kits come in four standard sizes, with both square and rectangle shapes available, allowing you to create an ultra-luxurious, spacious shower enclosure or wet room. Extension pieces can also be fitted that allows you to extend the size of the enclosure by up to 300mm on either side.

They also come with a choice of two drain lengths, 700mm and 1000mm, which provide a high volume flow capacity of up to 40 litres a minute - more than enough for even the most powerful showers. This type of drain can also be fitted on top of both timber and screeded floors, but it is recommended that you overboard your floor with 10mm Abacus Elements board to create a waterproof seal before installation. These kits also come with Lustrolite tapered tile trim as standard, for easy fitting.

Wet room glass panels

A glass panel is a beautiful way to finish off your shower enclosure or wet room. Abacus Elements range of glass panels can be used individually or collectively to create the ultimate shower enclosure for your bathroom.

Elements glass panels are available in two ranges and a number of sizes, making it easy to choose the right panel to complement your bathroom. Each panel is manufactured from toughened safety glass and coated with Easi-Clean technology which fills the micropores of toughened glass helping to reduce water spots, mineral deposits and limescale, while significantly reducing the growth of bacteria, all of which helps to keep your screen looking cleaner for longer.

E-series shower screens

With its elegant details and luxury fittings, the E-series range of walk-in shower screens is the ultimate in affordable luxury. Suitable for use with linear or Infinity Single fall waste trays, the E-series panel can be fitted as a fixed screen or combined with a glass door to create a luxury, minimalist shower enclosure. All E-series screens are manufactured from 6mm toughened safety glass and provide a generous screen height of 1.85m. Each screen is also fitted with a polished aluminium towel bar to provide further practicality and a stylish contemporary look. A number of accessories are also available to complete the look, including a double robe hook and glass to ceiling support arm.

The E-series curved screen is perfect for making an architectural statement in your bathroom. The clean simple lines and elegant curves add a little sophistication and glamour to your bathroom, without being overpowering. Manufactured from 8mm toughened safety glass, these elegant screens stand 2m high and come coated with Easi-Clean technology to help keep your screen looking fresher for longer.

M-series shower screens

M-series shower screens feature glass to glass hinges with an integrated aluminium designer towel bar fitted as standard. With two sizes available they are suitable for almost any size bathroom, large or small, and can also be incorporated into a 350mm return splash panel. All M-series shower screens are manufactured from 8mm toughened safety glass which is coated with Easi-Clean technology.

With a frameless construction and invisible fittings, walk-in glass screens provide the ultimate minimalist look to your wet room. The glass screen fits into a sunken channel with hidden supports and clamps holding it in place. Once fitted, these elegant screens look like floating walls, providing the perfect accompaniment to any contemporary wet room enclosure.

X-series glass panels

X-series glass panels are designed specifically for wet rooms and incorporate a range of screens, clamps and accessories to provide the ultimate, minimalist look to any shower enclosure. Manufactured from 10mm toughened glass with an Easi-Clean coating, these elegant screens stand 2m tall and are available in 12 widths from 290mm to 1190mm.

Each X-series panel can be installed separately or combined to create a truly elegant enclosure to finish off your wet room. Glass to wall support arms can also be fitted if you are unable to provide a sunken channel to support the glass.
